A warning has been issued to officers and men of the Nigeria Police to henceforth put an end to all forms of illegal operations as they serve the country.

Giving the directive, Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Solomon Arase while speaking at the launch of the re-branded Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), noted that the regime of unorthodox mode of operations by intelligence officer of SARS is gone.

The police boss charged members of the public to make known any kind of unethical practices embarked upon by policemen across the federation.

Be Sure of Better Welfare, Defence Minister Tells Military Personnel

The newly appointed Defence Minister, retired Brigadier-General Muhammad Dan-Ali, has again given an assurance that the military, under his watch, will be giving adequate welfare to families of soldiers who gave their lives in service of the nation.

Speaking ahead of the 2016 Armed Forces Remembrance day celebration at a press briefing in Abuja, the retired general argued that the Federal Government would not fail in its role to give support to relations of the fallen heroes.
