Psalm 9 good news bible

Here is Psalm 9 in the Good News Bible (GNB):

Psalm 9

  1. I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonders.
  2. I will be glad and sing your praises; I will awake the dawn and shout for joy.
  3. I will praise you, Lord, among all the nations; I will sing your praises among all the peoples.
  4. For great is your love, reaching to the heavens; your faithfulness reaches the skies.
  5. Your righteousness is like the mighty mountains, your justice like the great deep. "O Lord, you are my hope; I trust you from the morning on.
  6. You are my savior; you are the one I look to, my God, my rock, my savior."
  7. I will praise you, Lord, my God, with all my heart; I will honor your name forever.
  8. For your love is higher than the heavens; it reaches to the skies.
  9. You who dwell in the heavens, holy ones, God's mighty ones,
  10. who are mighty in power, according to your faithfulness.
  11. You have set your glory above the heavens.
  12. By your strength the sun was given the power to shine; by your arms the moon and stars were given light.
  13. You have given judgment to the nations; you have given justice to all peoples.
  14. You, Lord, are the one who is holy; you are the one who is enthroned above the praises of Israel.
  15. You are the one who is our shield, our help and our glory.
  16. You are the one who lifted up the horn of your people, to give them praise for your salvation, to give them praise for the glory of your name.
  17. You are the one who gave them victory over their enemies, to give them the land of the nations, to give them the heritage of the peoples,
  18. to give them the land that you swore to give to their ancestors, to give them the land flowing with milk and honey.
  19. When they were few in number, few indeed, and strangers in it,
  20. they wandered from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another.
  21. But he allowed no one to oppress them; he protected them from the hands of all who hated them.
  22. The Lord will reign forever; your God, O Zion, for all generations.
