Ibrahim Khaleel, the President of the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), is dead.

Newsbreakers gathered that Khaleel who was the National Treasurer of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) before his death, slumped on Wednesday, October 7, and was rushed to National Hospital Abuja, where he was confirmed dead.

The chairman of NULGE in Kano state, Abdullahi Muhammad Gwarzo, who confirmed the development said that the deceased would be buried in Wudil, local government area of Kano State today Thursday, October 8.

Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, also condoled with families, the Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, and Nigeria Labour Congress over the loss of Ibrahim Khaleel.

The Governor’s sympathies were expressed in a Press Statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Abba Anwar. According to the statement, the governor said death took the late NULGE President away when the country needed him the most. He emphasized that it is a great loss to unionism and labour industry across the nation and across other parts of Africa.
