Ndlea gets new chairman

You're referring to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Nigeria!

According to recent reports, the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, has appointed a new Chairman for the NDLEA. The new Chairman is Brigadier General Mohamed Buba Marwa (rtd), a former military administrator of Lagos State.

Brigadier General Marwa was appointed to replace the former Chairman, Roli Bode-George, who was sacked in January 2021. Marwa's appointment is seen as a move to revamp the agency and tackle the growing drug menace in the country.

As the new Chairman, Brigadier General Marwa is expected to lead the agency in its efforts to combat drug trafficking and abuse, as well as to reform the agency's operations and improve its effectiveness.

It's worth noting that the NDLEA has been facing several challenges in recent years, including corruption, inadequate funding, and lack of resources. The appointment of a new Chairman is seen as an opportunity to bring in fresh ideas and perspectives to address these challenges and to make the agency more effective in its mission to combat drug-related crimes.
