The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 90 new cases of COVID-19 in the country bringing the total to 56,478. Five new deaths were recorded along with 93 recoveries. Lagos State topped the list.
The 90 new cases are reported from 8 states- Lagos (33), Plateau (27), Kaduna (17), Ogun (6), FCT (4), Anambra (1), Ekiti (1), Nasarawa (1).
The breakdown in the tweet of the NCDC shows that the 90 cases were from 8 different states. Lagos State recorded the highest number of cases with 33. Plateau State followed with 27 cases while Kaduna State had 17 cases. 93 people recovered, which brings the recoveries up to 44,430 from 44,337. Five new deaths were recorded. According to the NCDC, all the 36 states in Nigeria including the Federal Capital Territory have so far recorded a case of COVID-19. Also, Lagos State still holds the record for the most cases in Nigeria.
So far, 56,478 cases have been confirmed, 44,430 cases have been discharged and 1088 deaths have been recorded.
