The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 481 new cases of COVID-19 in the country bringing the total to 42,689. 5 new deaths were recorded along with 266 recoveries. The Federal Capital Territory topped the list.

The 481 new cases are reported from 15 states- FCT (96), Lagos (89), Plateau (68), Ogun (49), Edo (44), Rivers (43), Oyo (25), Osun (23), Delta (15), Enugu (11), Kano (7), Kaduna (7), Bauchi (2), Bayelsa (1), Yobe (1).

The breakdown in the tweet of the NCDC shows that the 481 cases were from 15 different states. The Federal Capital Territory recorded the highest number of cases with 96. Lagos State followed with 89 while Plateau State had 68. 266 people recovered, which brings the recoveries up to 19,270 from 19,004. There were also 5 new deaths. Find the breakdown below.

According to the NCDC, all the 36 states in Nigeria including the Federal Capital Territory have so far recorded a case of COVID-19. Also, Lagos State still holds the record for the most cases in Nigeria.

So far, 42,689 cases have been confirmed, 19,270 cases have been discharged and 878 deaths have been recorded.
