The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 176 new cases of COVID-19 in the country bringing the total to 55,632. Three new deaths were recorded along with 276 recoveries. The Federal Capital Territory topped the list.
The 176 new cases are reported from 17 states- FCT (40), Lagos (34), Plateau (26), Enugu (14), Delta (12), Ogun (12), Ondo (9), Oyo (8), Ekiti (6), Ebonyi (4), Adamawa (2), Nasarawa (2), Kwara(2), Rivers (2), Edo (1), Osun (1), Bauchi (1).
The breakdown in the tweet of the NCDC shows that the 176 cases were from 17 different states. The Federal Capital Territory recorded the highest number of cases with 40. Lagos State followed with 34 cases while Plateau State had 26 cases. 276 people recovered, which brings the recoveries up to 43,610 from 43,334. Three new deaths were recorded. According to the NCDC, all the 36 states in Nigeria including the Federal Capital Territory have so far recorded a case of COVID-19. Also, Lagos State still holds the record for the most cases in Nigeria.
So far, 55,632 cases have been confirmed, 43,610 cases have been discharged and 1070 deaths have been recorded.
