The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 160 new cases of COVID-19 in the country bringing the total to 56,177. Two new deaths were recorded along with 90 recoveries. The Federal Capital Territory and Plateau State topped the list.
The 160 new cases are reported from 13 states- FCT (39), Plateau (39), Lagos (30), Kaduna (23), Katsina (7), Rivers (6), Oyo (6), Yobe (3), Benue (3), Bayelsa (1), Abia (1), Edo (1), Ekiti (1).
The breakdown in the tweet of the NCDC shows that the 160 cases were from 13 different states. The Federal Capital Territory and Plateau State both recorded the highest number of cases with 39. Lagos State followed with 30 cases. 90 people recovered, which brings the recoveries up to 44,088 from 43,998. Two new deaths were recorded. Find the breakdown below.

According to the NCDC, all the 36 states in Nigeria including the Federal Capital Territory have so far recorded a case of COVID-19. Also, Lagos State still holds the record for the most cases in Nigeria.
So far, 56,177 cases have been confirmed, 44,088 cases have been discharged and 1078 deaths have been recorded.
