The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 136 new cases of COVID-19 in the country bringing the total to 58,460. Three new deaths were recorded while there were 101 recoveries. Lagos State topped the list.
The 136 new cases are reported from 13 states- Lagos (71), Rivers (23), Plateau (12), Adamawa (6), Oyo (6), Kaduna (5), Abia (3), FCT (3), Katsina (2), Kwara (2), Bauchi (1), Borno (1), Edo (1).
The breakdown in the tweet of the NCDC shows that the 136 cases were from 13 different states. Lagos State recorded the highest number of cases with 71. Rivers State followed with 23 cases while Plateau State had 12 cases. 101 people recovered, which brings the recoveries up to 49,895 from 49,794. Three new deaths were recorded. According to the NCDC, all the 36 states in Nigeria including the Federal Capital Territory have so far recorded a case of COVID-19. Also, Lagos State still holds the record for the most cases in Nigeria.
So far, 58,460 cases have been confirmed, 49,895 cases have been discharged and 1111 deaths have been recorded.
