The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 126 new cases of COVID-19 in the country bringing the total to 56,604. Three new deaths were recorded along with 3,442 recoveries. The Federal Capital Territory topped the list.
The 126 new cases are reported from 17 states- FCT (37), Lagos (27), Plateau (16), Kaduna (9), Abia (7), Gombe (6), Ondo (6), Imo (5), Delta (2), Ekiti (2), Kwara (2), Oyo (2), Bauchi (1), Kano (1), Katsina (1), Ogun (1), Yobe (1).
The breakdown in the tweet of the NCDC shows that the 126 cases were from 17 different states. The Federal Capital Territory recorded the highest number of cases with 37. Lagos State followed with 27 cases while Plateau State had 16 cases. 3,442 people recovered, which brings the recoveries up to 47,872 from 44,430. Three new deaths were recorded. According to the NCDC, all the 36 states in Nigeria including the Federal Capital Territory have so far recorded a case of COVID-19. Also, Lagos State still holds the record for the most cases in Nigeria.
So far, 56,604 cases have been confirmed, 47,872 cases have been discharged and 1091 deaths have been recorded.
