A passenger in a Lagos bound flight from Owerri has been confirmed dead at the Lagos Airport.
The middle-aged man passenger was reportedly hale and hearty before boarding the flight but started displaying signs of discomfort when the flight was midway.
Arik Air spokeman, Mr, Adebanji Ola, confirmed the incident in a statement released to newsmen.
The statement said: “A middle-aged man aboard Arik Air’s Owerri-Lagos flight was this afternoon confirmed dead by doctors on arrival at the Lagos airport.
“The passenger boarded the flight from Owerri in the company of a relative. He started showing signs of uneasiness midway into the flight.
“The body of the man has been deposited in the mortuary by the Police while investigation into the immediate cause of death is ongoing.”
