Security agents in Ibadan have arrested a man, Kareem Isiaka Taiwo, on Monday for posing as an officer of Western Nigeria Security Network (WNSN), also known as Amotekun.

It was gathered that Taiwo tried to defraud people by posing as the recruitment officer for Amotekun.

The culprit, on Sunday, September 13, pasted a notice at the Adamasingba Stadium, the venue of the State’s recruitment screening centre, along with his name and phone number, asking those interested parties to contact him.

However, security agents arrested Taiwo by 11:45 am on Monday, September 14, after conducting an investigation into the matter.

Confirming the arrest, the Chairman, Oyo State Security Network Agency (Amotekun Corps), General Kunle Togun (rtd.), urged the general public to be wary of fraudsters in their quest to become members of the corps.
