Bayern Munich star, Robert Lewandowski, has been named the UEFA men’s player of the year 2020 on Thursday, October 1, after a sensational season which saw him win the treble with his team.

Lewandowski dusted off competition from fellow challengers, Kevin De Bruyne and teammate Manuel Neuer, to emerge the winner.

The forward received the award at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, at the draw for the Champions League group stage.

Lewandowski scored 55 goals in 47 games in all competitions and was the top scorer in the Champions League with 15 goals.
