Liverpool midfielder, Naby Keita, has reportedly tested positive for coronavirus while on international duty for the Guinea national team.
Keita becomes the fifth Liverpool player to contract COVID-19 after Kostas Tsimikas, Thiago Alcantara, Sadio Mane, and Xherdan Shaqiri. With Thiago and Tsimikas out of quarantine and Shaqiri’s test later proving to be a ‘false positive’, only Keita and Mane are currently with the virus.
Naby Keita returned tested positive alongside four other players including Lokomotiv Moscow winger Francois Kamano, goalkeeper Ibrahima Kone, Moreirense midfielder Ibrahima Camara, and Sochaux defender Florentin Pogba.
Guinean publication Foot 224 reports that the five players underwent tests on Wednesday, with the results returned on Friday. They took another test which then returned positive yesterday.
