The Federal Government is set to meet with the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) today, Thursday, October 15 over the ongoing strike.

The Deputy Director of Press and Public Relations at the ministry, Mr Charles Akpan, who disclosed this in a statement said the Minister of Labour and Employment, Dr. Chris Ngige, would host a meeting with ASUU in Abuja.

It is believed that the principal officers of ASUU and FG will discuss ASUU’s proposed alternative to the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System (IPPIS) for salary payment.
