Immediate past petroleum minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke, has insisted that she never thought of using her office to siphon the country’s treasury.

Instead, she argued that all she did was to serve the country to the best of her abilities.

It would be recalled that the former minister of petroleum was apprehended by operatives of the National Crime Agency in the United Kingdom over allegations of money laundering while she held sway as minister.

Specifically, Madueke was accused of using her office to cart away billions of naira from the country’s treasury.
