Heritage Bank Limited says it has packaged a N200m loan facility for young graduates willing to advance their dreams in small scale businesses.
According to the bank, the facility is a rotating soft loan attached with a financial and management advisory service to support National Youth Service Corps members who upon passing out demonstrate serious intentions to start their own small businesses.
Mr. Ifie Sekibo, the Managing Director, Heritage Bank congratulated the young graduates for a successful service year and commended the NYSC for its commitment to youth development.
Mr. Ola Olabinjo who is an Executive Director in the bank represented Sekibo. He said, “The country is facing huge challenges and you hold the key to solutions. As you venture out into the workforce or enterprise, you owe yourself and future generations to be the catalyst for change.”
He added that the strategic thrust of the lender was hinged on the future, which translates into creating, preserving and transferring wealth across generations.
Olabinjo emphasised that the loan scheme was necessary because small businesses form the engine of the economy.
“With a business, you can bequeath a legacy that will outlive you,” he added.
