A non-governmental organization; the South-south Coalition for Change, has accused the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking In Persons and other related matters, NAPTIP, of a deceptive conduct in a case of child trafficking levelled against a former legislator, Honourable Paul Ada.
The allegation was made public yesterday in a statement by the group coordinator, Mr Ekong Achibong and he made an appeal to President Muhammadu Buhari to look into the child trafficking allegation against Ada with a view to bringing about justice.
Honourable Ada was accused of stealing a set of twins he intends to raise as his own children, he also accused of trafficking of other children. He refuted all the allegations brought before him.
Ekong is not clear why NAPTIP swept the allegation, he wants President Buhari to set up a panel to investigate arrest and prosecute Ada for his alleged involvement in the child trafficking.
“The South-south Coalition for Change, is counting on President Muhammadu Buhari to intervene and punish Honourable Ada appropriately if found guilty.
