Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose on Saturday lifted the suspension his government imposed on Secretary to the State Government, Dr Modupe Alade.
She is expected to resume to duty tomorrow (Monday). The SSG was suspended on December 3, 2015 on reason of incompetence.
However, Fayose reversed his decision sequel to interventions from eminent personalities in the state including the Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adejugbe Aladesanmi III, Chief Afe Babalola (SAN) and the Catholic Bishop of Ekiti, Right Revd Felix Ajakaye.
Specifically, their plea came during the 25th Coronation anniversary of the Ewi in Ado-Ekiti.
In pleading on behalf of the SSG, the monarch insisted that the anniversary will remain incomplete if Governor Fayose fails to grant the request. This led to the reinstatement of the SSG.
