Emir sanusi summoned by anti corruption and complaints commission

It appears that Emir Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and current Emir of Kano, has been summoned by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) in Nigeria.

According to reports, the ICPC has invited Emir Sanusi to appear before it to answer questions regarding allegations of corruption and abuse of office during his tenure as CBN Governor. The commission is said to be investigating several allegations of financial impropriety and mismanagement of funds during his tenure.

It's worth noting that Emir Sanusi has been a vocal critic of corruption and has been involved in several high-profile controversies during his career. He was removed as CBN Governor in 2014 by the then-President Goodluck Jonathan, allegedly due to his opposition to the government's handling of the fuel subsidy regime.

As Emir of Kano, Sanusi has continued to speak out against corruption and has been involved in several initiatives aimed at promoting transparency and accountability in government. However, his latest summons by the ICPC is likely to be a significant development in the ongoing efforts to combat corruption in Nigeria.

It will be interesting to see how this situation unfolds and what evidence the ICPC may present to support its allegations against Emir Sanusi.
