The Pro-Chancellor of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) and chairman of its governing council, Dr. Wale Babalakin (SAN), has resigned his position.

This announcement comes just after the special visitation committee set up by the federal government concluded its investigation on the crisis rocking UNILAG.

Mr Mikail Mumuni,  a media aide to the suspended Pro-Chancellor of UNILAG, confirmed the resignation of Babalakin as the institution’s chairman of the Governing Council and Pro-Chancellor.

The aide told punch, “It is true. Dr. Babalakin has resigned from UNILAG.”
