Ogun State Government has directed all schools in the state to reopen for the first term of 2020/2021 session on Monday, September 21, 2020.

The government disclosed this in a statement issued by Chief Press Secretary to the state Governor, Kunle Somorin, on Monday, September 7.

The statement read in part, “This second phase of the reopening of schools is extended to all classes in primary and secondary schools, Technical and Vocational Colleges, and Tertiary Institutions.”

While the resumption and closing hours for primary and secondary schools have been adjusted, colleges and tertiary institutions are allowed to spend full normal hours.

However, the government said early child care development and education classes – three to five years of age – will not be resuming in public schools until the next phase of schools’ reopening.
