The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on Monday effected the arrest of former Benue State governor, Gabriel Suswam over alleged corruption during his tenure as governor.

It would be recalled that he governed the state between 2007 and May 2015. The anti-graft agency is questioning the former governor in its Abuja office over allegation of graft in his state when he held sway.

Confirming the development, EFCC spokesperson, Wilson Uwajuren said, “He was invited by the EFCC in connection with ongoing corruption investigation in Benue state.”
