Battery drivers not installing after installing new os

A frustrating issue!

When you install a new operating system, it's not uncommon for some drivers to not install correctly or at all. Here are some steps to help you troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue with battery drivers not installing:

  1. Check for updates: Ensure that your system is up-to-date with the latest updates, including drivers. You can do this by going to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update.
  2. Device Manager: Open the Device Manager (Press the Windows key + X and select Device Manager). In the Device Manager, expand the "Batteries" or "Power" section. Look for any devices with a yellow exclamation mark or a red X. Right-click on these devices and select "Update driver" or "Uninstall device" and then reinstall the driver.
  3. Check for corrupted drivers: Corrupted drivers can cause issues with installation. Try uninstalling the battery drivers and then reinstalling them. To do this, go to the Device Manager, right-click on the battery device, and select "Uninstall device". Then, restart your system and let Windows reinstall the drivers.
  4. Use the built-in troubleshooter: Windows has a built-in troubleshooter that can help resolve issues with device drivers. To run the troubleshooter, go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters > Hardware and Devices.
  5. Check for BIOS updates: Outdated BIOS can cause issues with device drivers. Check with your system manufacturer for any BIOS updates and follow their instructions to update your BIOS.
  6. Install drivers manually: If the above steps don't work, you can try installing the battery drivers manually. You can download the drivers from the manufacturer's website or from a reputable driver download website. Make sure to download the correct drivers for your system and architecture (32-bit or 64-bit).
  7. Reset Power Settings: Sometimes, resetting the Power Settings can help resolve issues with battery drivers. To do this, go to Settings > Power & sleep > Choose what the power buttons do > Change settings that are currently unavailable. Uncheck the box next to "Turn on fast startup" and then click "Save changes".
  8. System Restore: If you've made recent changes to your system, you can try using System Restore to revert back to a previous point when the battery drivers were working correctly.
  9. Reinstall the OS: If none of the above steps work, you may need to reinstall the operating system to start with a clean slate.

Remember to always back up your important files and data before attempting any of these steps. If you're still having issues, you may want to seek assistance from a professional or contact the manufacturer's support team for further guidance.
