The Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode has approved the sacking of the Managing Director (MD), LAGBUS Asset Management Limited, Tunde Disu; Director General, Lagos Safety Commission, Odebunmi Dominga and others.
As of the moment, Ambode is yet to pick a new boss for LAGBUS which is responsible for mass transit bosses in the state.
Also relieved of his job is Dominga who was the helmsman of the Lagos Safety Commission all through the tenure of former governor Babatunde Fashola.
Also shown the way out is Joe Igbokwe as the General Manager, Lagos State Infrastructure Maintenance and Regulatory Authority (LASIMRA) but has since been given another responsibility.
Only on Thursday, the governor appointed new heads for the Lagos State Safety Commission, LASIMRA and the Water Regulatory Board.
Specifically, Ambode approved the appointment of Fouad Alade Oki as the Director General of the Lagos State Safety Commission, vested with the responsibility of safety regulations and enforcement in the State.
According to a statement signed by Secretary to the State Government, Tunji Bello, governor Ambode also approved the appointments of Chief Funso Oyekola Ologunde as the Chairman and Mr. Jide Odekunle as the new General Manager of LASIMRA.
Igbokwe has also been appointed as the Chairman, Wharf Landing Fee Collecting Authority. The governor equally appointed Arch. Ahmed Kabir Abdullahi as the Executive Secretary of the Water Regulatory Board.
All appointments according to the statement takes immediate effect.
